Sual Pangasinan Batch Project

As part of our socio-civic awareness, my college organization conducted an outreach Program in Sual, Pangasinan last April 28, 2012 inviting all members of the Organization as well as the beloved alumni. This is just one among the many organizational events I miss. This particular event allows us to help institutions like Home for the Aged and orphanages, to share what the organization can offer. Usually in terms of goods and entertainment.

The active members of the organization chose Japan Youth Work Camp in Caring for Future Foundation (CFF) in Pangasinan for the socio civic program. They prepared food, gifts, games and an entertainment number for the Children of the said foundation.  The kids likewise prepared something for us, a dance number.  We did not take much pictures of the kids for their protection. We were happy to see the smiles in their faces and shared things and stories that could help them.

I love activities like this, especially when kids are involve. Not only does it help the charitable cause one is working for, its impact on the person doing the work is long lasting.  It is something meaningful and purposeful. My human need to leave this earth knowing that I've made a difference and a contribution was somehow fulfilled.

That was the first part of the project, the socio civic.  The next part was the member's get together.  After the outreach program, members are given time to relax and unwind. There will be no program, just catching up with each others and making memories again or it serves a a price for the help we've done earlier. Expenses were sponsored by the host batch.

Sual is a small town but home to few unadulterated beaches and waters of Lingayen Gulf. For the members activity, we went to the nearest public beach in Sual. We rode a boat to reach the island which took us about 15 mins. Although the sands are not white, we enjoyed the fine sands and the wide shoreline where we played Frisbee.  You'll be surprise at how calm the sea is compared to the other shorelines in the country.

Some scenes at the beach
We did it all in one day and we were all tired that almost all slept on the bus going home.

How to get to Sual Pangasinan.
From Manila take NLEX to SCTEX exit Tarlac, Tarlac to Camiling to Alaminos Pangasinan before reaching Alaminos, Sual is the town before Alaminos. Manila to Sual is about 352 kms or 4 hours drive.
