The Bohol Countryside tour

There are a lot of tour packages , sites and organizations that will offer you Bohol countryside tour. You will all visit same tourist attractions who ever service provider you chose. They differ in prices, Loboc river cruise boats, time allotted in each attractions and  chronological order of attractions to visit.

Sightseeing destination for the Countryside tour includes, Baclayon Church, Blood Compact, Chocolate Hills,  Hanging Bridge, Buffet Lunch at Loboc River Cruise, Manmade Forest, Tarsier, Souvenir Shop, Butterfly Sanctuary, Python.

I fancy old churches, when I visit a place or travel somewhere, as long as I can I will visit some of the place churches. This was one of the reasons why traveling to Bohol excites me. Entry into the Baclayon Church is free why entry into the church museum is Php 50 per person. Baclayon Church is the second oldest stone church in the Philippines.  It was exquisitely made from coral stones and was cemented using the white of over millions of eggs. While inside the church,  I put yourself into a prayerful mood. I felt protected by the saints around me.

Some people may find the idea of visiting Blood Compact boring because what they usually do is get out from their vehicle, took picture with the monument for less than 10 minutes.  To make it more interesting, try asking your tour guide the significant of Blood Compact or Sandugo to our history or if without guide, read the inscription on a plaque on the Blood Compact Marker.

I am so happy to have seen the famous chocolate hills. Before I only see and read them in history books and now I actually met them, hundreds of them. :) To enjoy the scenery, you'll have to first climb the stairs on one of the hills for a magnificent view.

Try your nerves to cross this famous bamboo hanging bridge in Bohol. You might think it is just an ordinary bridge experience but if you try to let go of the railing it is quite scary, which can give problems when you have to pass somebody crossing in the other direction. The entrance fee for tourists is P10 to cross the bridge.

It's my first time to ate in a floating restaurant with a lot of tourists. It was an enchanting cruise along majestic Loboc river. There were asians, americans, filipino, etc., and we all enjoyed the filipino food served in buffet. You will also enjoy the group of filipinos of various ages playing guitar, singing and dancing to entertain the people having a lunch at the cruise. The tour will end at a cute falls and then returns to its terminal.

Bilar is best known for its Mahogany man-made forest, a dark area of thickly reforested land on the way from Tagbilaran to the Chocolate Hills. Nature is beautiful, and without a doubt this applies to Bilar as much as any other forest. It is the first and only man-made forest in the Philippines. Nakakaproud kaya. :)

Tarsiers are cute but the tail is scaly on the underside like a rat's, they have bat like ears, frog-like legs and it somehow scares me. hahaha  and if it scares you it might be a good thing to see.

I am not much of a souvenir buyer person because I want to save much space as I can in my backpack. But I always buy ref Magnet wherever I go, it's not so much what we purchase but the memory attached to it. There are a lot of souvenir shops in Bohol, actually every destinations mentioned above there are stores where you can buy shirts, delicacies, key chains, etc., but I think the cheapest buys are the ones located in the Phyton sanctum.

We visited all these in a day and it was tiring yet fulfilling. I want you to make the most of every moment, to make wonderful memories and Bohol did not disappoint me.  I was already looking forward to the beach, and while en route to Panglao, I took a short nap - energy buster.
