Panglao Island, Bohol - An escape to a slice of paradise

I decided to join my College friends in an out of town trip three weeks after I lost my job. Oh yes, I just lost my 5 months old job due to a confidential reason. I was so depress and I though I needed a rest. I've never been to Bohol and this time I don't want to hike, I want something refreshing, somewhere I could think and rest and meet other positive people.

Panglao island is a mini Boracay. It is not as beautiful as Boracay but it's a paradise. For people who want to enjoy a beautiful white sand beach with less people, great food and friendly locals, Panglao island is a good choice. You can really relax, wander around alone because it's safer compared to Boracay, or you might want to try various activities like island hopping for only P2,000/boat per day, snorkelling, or dolphin watching.

Allana and Marife are my friends for almost seven years now but we don't meet regularly.  The last time I saw them was two to three years ago, so I'm glad I was given the opportunity and time to bond with them.

The serene ambiance of the island is something that you would appreciate in Panglao. Get a dip to its water and get to walk to its shoreline. The beach, however, is a little bit weird for me. There are parts with crystal clear water that you can even see fishes, and the curves of  the sand.  There are also some parts that seem to be just an ordinary beach , not so clear water,  rocky, then too many seaweeds floating in the beach. You just need to find the right spot for you.  We haven't reached Alona beach, because we don't want to walk too far hahaha. We decided to stay in Dumaluan Beach which I think pretty enough to swim and relax. The water in the middle is so clear and the sand is awesome, I felt like I'm swimming in an infinity pool.

Oh that fantastic view of the beach

I am not a fun of Do-It-Yourself travels because being a busy person, I don't have enough time to do a lot of research on how, what, where, when etc,. But I make sure I avail the most convenient and affordable package, for less worries, hassles, and unexpected things that might come my way. We availed a tour package from this site (http://www.jcasstoursandtravel.com) and we were very satisfied with the service. We really get what we paid for, so thanks Jcass, especially to our Tour Guide/Driver Kuya Gilbert.

But someday, I will try DIY. When I feel like being my own version of Indiana Jones haha...
