Precious moments in Kalibo

It was one sunny weekend when me and my DSB family headed to Kalibo and marvel at the collection of precious moments dolls at the Sampaguita Gardens.  From Boracay island, it takes about 20min transfer from  to Caticlan and then another 2.5 hours to Kalibo. There are vans and buses but they do wait til they think they reached a reasonable number of passengers before they leave. Fare is about P200 per pax on the van.

Jojo's Christmas Cottage:  Precious Moments store and Christmas museum.

At a first look outside the Hotel, you might say that it is just an ordinary hotel. We entered the place and paid P50 entrance fee and that is already consumable. I was able to buy popcorn with that amount. First we visited the cafeteria of the Hotel, were they offer a variety of snacks and coffee.  Then we visited the Jojo’s Christmas Cottage.  It was very stunning and adorable outside. It’s like a cookie house like those in Hansel and Gretel story that you want to eat. Hahaha  Colorful and lively. It’s actually made of cement and not wood. Everyday is Christmas day in Sampaguita Gardens. Inside you will see different kinds of dolls. I am not a fun of dolls but seeing those figures and stuffs makes me want to hug and play with them. It’s like I wanna go back to being a child again.  There were a lot of angel figurines and upstairs you will see Christmas decorations, dolls, Santa Claus and a mini replica of a winter fun land or a Christmas Village display , which I personally want to have in my room someday. You need to pay admission fee of only P10 to enter their Museum of Christmas.

You can also see a meditation chapel by the sea hidden at the back of the Christmas Cottage.  The chapel was so cute and child friendly because of many drawings on its' walls. There are no windows but painted panels with bible excerpts.  

I enjoyed our stay in Sampaguita Gardens and I hope someday I can bring my own family here. My little sisters would definitely love what I have just seen in the Christmas Cottage and Chapel.  I hope you could also visit the place and enjoy your stay as much as we did.
