My First 10K Run

Hagardo na ang mukha ko nyaha papawis pawis din pag my time.
We participated the 2013 RUN UNITED 2 that was held last June 2, 2013 with Ceelin 500m dash, 10k, 21k and 32k race categories. All categories will have a start and finish line at the SM Mall of Asia. Getting started with running can feel overwhelming to a beginner runner.  I finished the 10k run for 2hrs. hahaha While my friends made it at less that 2 hrs and mind you its their first time.

Of course it was not easy. My last run was two years ago and it was just 5K run. Now I intend to try running to keep myself physically fit. What else could be a better way to burn all those fats other than running? Besides, I really need to lose some tummy fats since I'll be visiting bora and coron soon. nyahaha Wish me luck!

Tips for the beginners
Here are also some tips for the beginners who are just getting started with running:
  • Always choose comfortable shoes
  • Please ensure that your body is sufficiently hydrated.
  • Before running at least take a 5 minute warm-up session
  • While running inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth
  • Don't bring a lot of stuff and if you will bring phone, gadgets , etc. better you use belly pack or bag when you are not comfortable leaving your bags in the counter.
The finishers! Meet my new blogger friend Kevin- itskevincible.com and hike buddy mariel.

Running does not have to be fast. I read from an article that a good indicator of a moderate pace is whether you can talk while running. As you build up strength your ‘talking pace’ will quicken accordingly.

So that's it! Run for your life :)
