For those who itch for adventures and don't want to go too far from the metro I've got good news for you guys. You can have your one day occupied with various activities in just one area.
Be sure to pack your camera on full charge because you'll be mesmerized by the majestic rock formations, rivers in Sitio Madlum River and get to relish the sights around you during the 1 and a half hour trek in Mt. Manalmon, and explore Bayukbuk Cave.
We did hike, spelunk and swim in less that 12 hours all in San Miguel Bulacan. To get there you need to ride a Bus (either Five Star of Baliwag Transit) in Cubao bound to Cabanatuan (make sure to ask the driver if they can drop you off to Brgy. Kamias, San Miguel Bulacan. Bus fare is P117. After 2-3 hours travel alight at Brgy. Kamias where you have to ride a tricycle going to the Sitio Madlum that will cost you P240 per tricycle that can accommodate 3 - 4 persons. Pay only the agreed fare and no add ons. Upon reaching the Sitio Madlum, you need to either pay P5 for a bamboo raft that would cross you to the Jump off point, or cross the river through the Monkey bridge for free and priceless experience. As you get to the jump off point, a registration fee of P5 each will be collected and tour guide will be provided. Guide is required in Mt. Manalmon for P300 per group. The assigned guide for us was Kuya Mario. Guides wear uniforms by the way.
