Rambling Caluwayan Beach Palm

I am a fan of swimming pools. I dream that one day I can own a house with an infinity pool.  I am not a good swimmer but swimming gives me sort of discharge to any wrench of life. Having a zeal for bodies of water is somewhat quirk of fate for me because I almost drowned to death in a deep river when I was little. Well, we all have ways of coping with the past.

Warning: this report is more of photo blogging hahaha I am currently full of vim and vigor to post and edit pictures.

After my jaunt to Calicoan Surf Camp with Karen, we passed by Marabut Samar where Caluwayan Beach Resort is located.  I heard about the place from my friends and family. We seized the chance to visit the resort and stayed for a while since it's on the way. The place was famous in the region because of its infinity pool to the view of the beach and other activities like kayaking and boat riding. It is a one hour ride from Tacloban. For travelers, I suggest Van-van transport service for the transportation that will only cost you P100.

The beach was calm and sun was shining bright and steady. The beach was inviting but when I saw the sign stating “Beware of Dekya”, I backed off instantly. I just removed my slippers and dug my feet into the cool and soft sand and take a short walk while taking in the pristine beauty of the surrounding. What we are fortunate to have enjoyed in Caluwayan are the pool and the food. We wanted to try kayaking but the weather made it dangerous or us.  The wind blows so hard and we never experience it because we might out of balance.

By 4pm we prepared our things and got on a van bound to San Juanico Bridge.  Please don’t guess we walked in that famous link because we did not. It was part of the initial Samar Adventure itinerary but due to lack of time and because my parents were impatient to see me, we just waited there for a bus to take us to Calbiga Samar (see my next post).
This was just a short visit and I don’t have much to say. So Ciao for now!
